COURSE TITLE:Year 10 Mathematics and Statistics COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course builds on the skills learnt in previous years by applying strategies from all areas of the curriculum to solve problems. There is a focus on developing number and algebra skills through the year with 14 weeks allocated to the Number and Algebra strand, 10 weeks allocated for the Measurement and Geometry strand and 10 weeks allocated to the Statistics strands. Problem Solving, developing logic and reasoning and communication of mathematical ideas will be part of all content areas. Students are required to consider the context of problems for assessment purposes which will prepare them for the challenges of NCEA in year 11. INDICATIVE COSTS:
