Specialisation in Statistics skills can occur from Level 2 onward. Students who recognise either an interest or career pathway in Statistics are able to choose this course to focus heavily on concepts relating to data gathering, analysis and understanding how conclusions can and cannot be applied to the real world. 

These subjects will give you the skills needed to use data effectively and to better understand how data is used and misused in the world around us. Such skills are highly sought after in various employment fields where data analysis is becoming more and more important. The course knowledge will also allow students to navigate the myriad claims made by the media to effectively form opinions and engage with pressing issues around the world.
